Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Claybreak ("the app," "we," "us") handles your information. Claybreak is a personal clay-target shooting journal that lets you log range sessions, rounds, equipment, and notes across trap, skeet, and sporting clays. The app is local-first: your journal lives on your device and works fully without an account.

By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

Summary

What the app stores on your device

When you use the app, the following is stored locally on your device in a private database:

This on-device data is under your control. Uninstalling the app removes it.

Location

If you grant location permission, the app reads your device location one time at the start of a session to help identify the shooting range you are at. Location is used only at that moment — the app does not track your location in the background and does not record a location history beyond the ranges you choose to save.

To turn your coordinates into a usable place name, your approximate coordinates are sent to:

These services receive only the coordinates needed to answer the request. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; the app remains fully usable, and you can name ranges manually instead.

Accounts and cloud sync (optional)

Creating an account is optional and exists only to back up and sync your journal across devices. If you sign in, we use Supabase (our authentication and database provider) to:

Your cloud data is protected by access rules that allow only your account to read or write it. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

If you sign in with Google or Apple, that provider authenticates you and shares a basic identifier and email with us; we do not receive your password.

What we do NOT do

Exporting your data

The app includes a CSV export feature that compiles your sessions, rounds, and notes into a file you can share or save through your device's standard share sheet. This file is generated on your device; where it goes after you share it is up to you.

Deleting your data

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Third-party services

The app relies on the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
